Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out the activities you may not perform when using Funder Compass (the "Service") operated by eCapital Investments Group Pty Ltd. It supplements the Terms of Use and is incorporated into them by reference. Breach of this Policy is a material breach of the Terms of Use and may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited activities

You must not use the Service to:

  • break any law, regulation, licence condition or industry code that applies to you;
  • engage in credit activity, financial services, legal practice, tax agent services or any other regulated activity for which you are not appropriately licensed or authorised;
  • upload, store or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, deceptive or infringes any third-party right (including intellectual property or privacy rights);
  • upload personal information of any person without a lawful basis under applicable privacy law;
  • upload malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, trojans or any code intended to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to the Service or any user's data;
  • bypass, disable, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, network or data;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service, or use scraping, data-mining or automated extraction tools against the Service;
  • use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications, phishing messages or any content that violates anti-spam laws;
  • resell, sublicense, rent, lease or provide the Service to third parties as a bureau service without our prior written consent;
  • use the Service in a way that materially degrades the performance of the Service for other customers.

2. Security expectations

  • Keep account credentials confidential and do not share user accounts.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for every user with elevated privileges.
  • Promptly revoke access for personnel who no longer require it, and review permissions at least quarterly.
  • Report any suspected security incident, credential compromise or vulnerability to security@fundercompass.com without undue delay.

3. Content standards

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and appropriateness of every

  • document you upload;
  • message you send through the Service;
  • calculation or report you generate;
  • template you create, edit or distribute using the Service.

4. Reporting abuse

To report suspected breaches of this Policy, email legal@fundercompass.com. We investigate every credible report and may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

5. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content or take other proportionate action to enforce this Policy. Where a suspension is required to prevent imminent harm, we may act without prior notice.
