Funder Compass publishes free Australian finance calculators and marketing pages describing its paid loan-management software. It is owned and operated by eCapital Investments Group Pty Ltd ("eCapital", "we", "us"). These guidelines describe the standards we hold that content to.
1. Scope
These guidelines cover:
- The free calculators in the Tools section.
- Marketing and product pages describing the Funder Compass software.
We do not currently publish articles, blog posts, lender comparisons, product rankings, or sponsored content. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first.
2. Calculator accuracy and sourcing
- Calculators are built from published formulas, rate tables, and thresholds sourced from primary references where possible, including the ATO, Services Australia, APRA, ASIC, state and territory revenue offices, the RBA, and lender product disclosure documents.
- Each calculator states the financial year and key assumptions it uses.
- Where a figure is an estimate or a modelled input (for example, LMI premiums or serviceability buffers), we say so.
- We update calculators when rules, rates, or thresholds change materially.
3. General information only, not personal advice
- Nothing we publish, including calculators and marketing content, is personal financial, credit, tax, or legal advice.
- Calculator outputs are general in nature. They do not take into account your objectives, financial situation, or needs.
- By using a calculator or downloading a result, you acknowledge the information is general information only and that you should consider whether it is appropriate for you and, if necessary, seek advice from a licensed professional.
4. Commercial independence
- No third party pays to appear on the site, influence a calculator output, or edit marketing copy.
- Our only revenue is software subscriptions. See How we get paid and Conflicts of Interest.
5. Review process
- Calculators and marketing content are written or reviewed by staff with subject-matter experience in Australian lending, financial services, or accounting.
- Regulatory content (for example, ATO tax, CCS, super) is reviewed against the current published rules before release and again when material changes take effect.
- Errors are corrected. Where a correction is material, we note the change on the affected tool or page.
6. Complaints and corrections
If you spot an error, or you have a complaint about the accuracy or fairness of a calculator or page, email info@fundercompass.com with a link to the page and details of the issue. We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days.
