Funder Compass is owned and operated by eCapital Investments Group Pty Ltd ("eCapital", "we", "us"). We publish free Australian finance calculators and sell a paid loan-management software product to businesses. This page explains the limited conflicts of interest that can arise from that model and how we manage them.
1. Our commercial model
- Our only revenue is subscription fees for the Funder Compass software. See How we get paid.
- We do not receive commissions, referral fees, advertising revenue, sponsorship, or paid placement fees from lenders, brokers, or any other third party.
- We do not sell or share user data with lenders, brokers, or marketing partners.
- We do not run a lender directory, product-comparison table, sponsored article, or paid ranking of any kind.
2. Where a conflict could still arise
- Our software is aimed at private lenders, brokers, and mortgage managers. Marketing content that describes the software may naturally frame that audience favourably.
- Staff, contractors, or directors may personally hold interests in Australian lending, broking, or financial services businesses. Where such an interest is material to something we publish, it will be disclosed.
- Calculator methodology reflects our interpretation of published Australian rules, rates, and thresholds. Reasonable people can disagree with an assumption; the assumptions and effective dates are stated on each tool.
3. How we manage conflicts
- General information only. Nothing on this site, including any calculator, guide, or page, is personal financial, credit, tax, or legal advice. It is general information and does not consider your objectives, financial situation, or needs.
- No pay-to-appear. No third party pays to appear anywhere on this site, be recommended, or influence editorial content or calculator outputs.
- Independent verification. Users should verify calculator outputs against the relevant lender's product disclosure documents, the ATO, the relevant state revenue office, or a licensed professional before acting.
